Egotism

What I find very strange is how people react to things that are not the norm, and the people who are wearing things out of the norm expect from others.

Sometimes it irritates me because they would say that other people are very rude to them about it and they get hurt and offended, because honestly, they should be able to handle the reaction.

From personal experience, yea, I used to think this way. Then I grew up and got a thicker skin.

I mean, I stare at other girls who dress differently myself. Hell, I'll even stare at the lady who can't parallel park correctly (constantly... five minutes of trying). I get unwanted comments about my hair, from people who I wish didn't say anything about it.

The thing is, people will always comment on strange things, and if you're wearing it, expect it and just take it with a stride, instead of being hurt by it.

In the end, whatever you're wearing, never get offended by what other people are saying about it. You took the time to put it together, at least be proud of it.

Comments

I believe that conviction is a very important aspect of style. One has to believe in what he wears and not let anyone talk him out of it. People with great style are not easily swayed by others' opinions of their outfit.
